That’s the thing with Berlin: there is such a huge amount of ever expanding vegan discoveries to be explored that it’s difficult to keep up with it all sometimes.
That’s why we are quite happy if people get in touch with us about suggestions, letting us know about new vegan spots or new vegan dishes on the menu.
This is how we found out about Sixty Degrees, who are a vegetarian coffee shop, serving speciality coffee, breakfasts, lunch, sandwiches, smoothies, cakes and a lovely typical Berliner atmosphere with a book exchange corner and changing art exibitions.
The decor and interior design in the two table seating area and the lovely outdoor area is creatively & individually put together with love for details.
You can tell that it’s all about coffee in this place. A signboard showing all the different aromas that a coffee roast can carry, managed to pull our eyebrows up in surprise. From citrus to berry to cocoa, everything is possible, just like we know it with good wine. All the coffee that gets offered here is from local Berliner roasters, sourced from smaller farms. Agne who works for Sixty Degrees took some time to explain and answer our questions. She pointed out that an other important quality trademark is that the coffee beans stem from one place, maximum two places of origin. That allows the beans to fully expand their unique aroma birthed by the synthesis of all elements involved, that are particular soleyley for that place of origin.
Agne took great care of our lunch which started off with a soy cappuccino of course, for me the coffee fan 🙂 Aino had a fruit smoothie. After the drinks we had a salad bowl with a mouthwatering tangy dressing and oven-roasted vegetables. The sandwich that we had was with tahini, harissa, tomato chutney, tomatoes, mint, lime and salad. It was incredibly juicy and just YUM!
After that we had sweet little raw vegan cheesecakes 👀 which Agne made herself aswell as the raw vegan chocolate brownies that we had after the cake 😋😁👌🏼✨💋
One thing that we really loved was that Sixty Degrees chooses to use only biodegradable take away coffee cups.
Résumé: we loved the food and the drinks. We loved the cozy place, the arty atmosphere, and the idea behind the business. We would love to see even more vegan options / dishes in future because the food was absolutely tasty & delicious and we can’t wait for more 😌😌✨🙏🏼✨
