Ms. Cupcake, London

Checked out this vegan hot spot in Brixton last week end. If you’re a Vegan you most probably heard of Ms. Cupcake vegan Bakery and their almost world famous vegan cupcakes. They are even that amazing that the Whole Foods Market chain has taken them into their repertoire.
We tried the Mango and Strawberry Cupcake, the double Chocolate Swirl and the salted Caramel Ice cream pot.
Would have loved to try more but it was already more than enough to leave us tumbling around Brockwell Park on a sugarhigh, lovestoned and satisfied in the sunshine. It was indeed a very naughty day, because after the park we went to Herne Hill and ate chips with ketchup in a pub, tehehe. Lovely!

So if ya wanna please your tastebuds like us go find Ms. Cupcake in Brixton
408 Coldharbour Lane, Brixton London SW9 8LF –
Open on Sunday-Wednesday 10-7 and Thursday-Saturday 10-8.

Or just pick one up at any Whole Foods Markets in London!

Tutti Island in Kreuzberg

Today I introduce you to nothing more than just the best friggin falafel place in whole of Berlin. This place is just so amazingly fresh and tasty with such a great variety of homemade sudanese specialities. We ordered a Falafel plate and Falafel Pita bread both were just ridiculous explosions of goodness available at a very fair price. The crispy Falafel in Pita bread was filled with heaps, no really with H E A P S  of mouthwatering peanut- and sesamesauße which makes this little Falafel place my new favourite “hey lets go out and eat something incredibly yummie!” place. And don’t you miss out on the Falafel plate which has aaaall this crazy good stuff like creamy aubergine paste, hummus, grilled Tofu, grilled veggies and big beans next to fresh salad and pita bread. When we finished our meal we felt like ordering it all once again just because it was so good 🙂
This is a very vegan friendly eating place: all the food except the halloumi is vegan. Even the sweet datecookies which you can get for 0.50 c (!) as dessert are fully vegan. Also the owner is a really friendly dude and gives away free tea and cookies to his regular customers.
I can’t wait to go again, who’s in?

Vegan scrambled egg with The Vegg

After a really long time I had a scramble egg for breakfast again! Of course not a real one 😉
I made it just with Tofu and The Vegg, which is a really good egg yolk substitute!

You need (for 2 persons) :
• 250 grams tofu
• 1 egg yolk (made of The Vegg)
• 1 onion
• pepper, salt and oil

This is a simple recipe, but I think it will be even better with chopped tomatoes and peppers.

I have a little pack of The Vegg pulver and used it a lot already! For one egg yolk you just have to blend a little teaspoon of The Vegg pulver with water. You can order it on

Yeaaaah I  finally can drink Piña Colada again!! Mostly virgin but anyway I love cocktails!!
Chaostheorie is a new vegan spot in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, which opened just recently. They have breakfast, sandwiches, cakes and cupcakes and much much more 🙂 The cakes, which differ from day to day to new imaginative varieties, are great!!
With tables inside and outside, if the weather is good, you’ll have a nice time there in a cozy atmosphere!
We’ll definitely come back 🙂
It’s in Lychener Straße 2 in Prenzlauer Berg, in the near of underground station Eberswalder Straße

  • 1 orange
  • 1 banana

Chia seed pudding and green smoothie breakfast

If you ever wondered what a raw foodie eats for breakfast then this is what it could look like

This picture shows a green smoothie on the right and the chia pudding with dates, bananas and raw cacao on the left aaaand a big plate of fresh fruit in this case I had fresh figs, persimons, bananas and apples.

I am not living completely raw but through my searches in the internet for vegan stuff I also always got a lot of information on all this raw food stuff. Therefor I always include a great amount of fresh veggies and fruit in my daily meals. It makes a lot of sense to me that it must  really be  the healthiest way of eating as your body needs those enzymes which are provided only by fresh and alive food. If you ever saw someone who is eating a raw diet you must have noticed their good skin. It seems like they are glowing and radiating the freshness which they consume day by day. Makes sense as the human skin replaces itself every 28 days (your liver 5 months and your bones 10 years) and your body makes these cells out of the food you eat. What you eat literally becomes you!

There are a few role models in the raw scene which are known by the media as natural wonders as the don’t seem to age. One of them is called Mimi Kirk and the other lady is Annette Larkins. They are both in their seventies and are for me amazing and inspiring women. I added  youtube links if you are interested.

So sometimes I make a raw day. I found chia seeds trough my recipes searches. It is an ancient superfood which was already eaten by the Mayans. As it provides a lot of energy the mayans used to take it if they had to transfer messages through the jungle. They could run all day with the help of these little seeds. In fact, Chia means “strength” in the language of the Mayans and the seeds were considered medicine. They were actually prized more than gold due to their incredible health enhancing properties.

They are an protein and calcium boost!!

In order for the calcium to be best absorbed into the body you got to combine with almonds. Also you need to always acitvate nuts and seeds by soaking them in liquid. So I soak my chia seeds for 1/2h  in almond milk (which is the cheapest and best when homemade!) Then the seeds shed some gel and you receive a substance just like pudding . I add 4 dates and some raw cacao powder for sweet and yumminess.

the green smoothie is simply 2 hands spinach leaves,  1 cup pineapple, 1 frozen banana and 1 orange.
