Vegan Christmas dinner – Ragout fin / Braten / dessert

How to survive Christmas when you are the only one vegan πŸŽ„πŸ˜…πŸŒ±βοΈ

Actually it’s quite easy!! Just cook everything in a vegan version! This Christmas I kept it really simple with cooking and was surprised that the result was so good!!

Vegan Ragout fin

Incredients:

β€’vegetable broth β€’soy sauce β€’mushrooms β€’tofu β€’white wine β€’soy cream β€’capers β€’pepper

After cooking a bit vegetable broth I just mixed all the ingredients in a pot and cooked all for a while. I’m really sure there is a more professional and order to add the ingredients but with only 20 minutes preparing it just came out perfect πŸ™‚

Roast soy meat

I prepared this exactly like the ragout fin but with red instead of white wine, without capers and with half tofu and half vegan kebab, because there wasn’t much more in the supermarket πŸ˜…

Like before I just mixed everything together and everything was ready in less than half hour!

Pears with cranberries

Fry pears in vegan butter and fill it with cranberries… ready!!

just make sure that red cabbage and croquettes are vegan and ready is the Christmas dinner!!

Dessert

This years dessert was ice cream with whipped cream and vegan decoration super easy, besides the cream not so unhealthy and yummy πŸŽ„πŸ¦β„οΈβ›„οΈπŸ˜

Now looking forward to what will be created for nye dinner 😍

Vegan yes – London

Walking through Bricklane in London and passing by this place, i just had to go inside even with having breakfast right before πŸ˜‹

<

and it actually was more than worth it!! The kitchen is a Korean Italian fusion 😍 a lot of fermented and super healthy things to eat there!!

I had a kimchi soup with coal bread which was super delicious and kept me warm again after freezing outside a bit πŸ”₯

And I tried FINALLY the first time butterflypea tea and got with it homemade focaccia baked with curcuma and homemade Nutella 😍😍😍

And of course I had to take a Mochi as well! Mochi is a rise ball filled with a cream of beans. But this ones are even surrounded with chocolate 😱

This really was the best one I ever ate 😍😍😍 the chocolate around makes it so perfect!

There is so much more to explore, which I definitely will do when I come back to London!! πŸ’˜ on my list for next time is the kimchi lasagne, Naples kimchi bibimbap and for sure more of the homemade Nutella and Mochis πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ

Green Garden delivery

And again we tested a food delivery! By now you might know that we love to order food 😜😜😜

This time we tried a few things of Green Garden delivery and are absolutely excited about it!! Not everything is vegan but we found some really nice vegan foods on their menu! There are also a lot of extra ingredients which you can add to everything like dried tomatoes, artichokes or vegetable quinoa! If you want you can order completely gluten and sugar free! And of course fully vegan! They even told me on the phone that the salad sauce is not vegan because of the vinegar! And this really is advanced vegan knowledge which should be given with every food delivery! πŸ€“ Continue reading “Green Garden delivery”

Sixty Degrees

That’s the thing with Berlin: there is such a huge amount of ever expanding vegan discoveries to be explored that it’s difficult to keep up with it all sometimes.

That’s why we are quite happy if people get in touch with us about suggestions, letting us know about new vegan spots or new vegan dishes on the menu.

This is how we found out about Sixty Degrees, who are a vegetarian coffee shop, serving speciality coffee, breakfasts, lunch, sandwiches, smoothies, cakes and a lovely typical Berliner atmosphere with a book exchange corner and changing art exibitions. Β  Continue reading “Sixty Degrees”

Black Cat Vegan Cafe, London

bc12i

So here we are, hungry vegan food hunters tracking down a colorful flyer promise of non profit, 100% vegan food that we found hanging on the blackboard of our favorite of all yoga studios: Jivamukti. Arrived in Hackney with roaring stomachs we don’t get disapointed of the menu – no we are in sheer delight of all the variety that is offered here! There is so much that we want to try, so we decide to take three main menus and starters and share them between us. Whilst we eagerly eye the cakes on the counter we know It will take a looong time until we leave this place and we get comfortable with a Hot Chocolate topped with marshmallows.

While we are waiting for our orders we explore the shop and find lots of bargains like a lovely Jutebeutel for 5 Pounds and a pizza cheese for 1.50. Β You can find snacks, chocolate bars, faux meat and cheese, vegan household items and there is also a lot of interesting books about Veganism, Vegan cookery books or also anarchy literature. Everything is really cheap, of course because it is a non profit shop. Yeah!

The Main dishes are all really tasty and we feel that everything is homemade and fresh. We find out that we all three think that the Seitan Sandwich tastes outstanding good and we like the Lentil Pie with Mashed potato and Kale. The Burger is of course amazing as well. Its the first time for us to try a sausage baked in a bread roll and we wonder how this could happen?!

We can’t behave and order our cakes and brownies with whipped cream and large scoops of ice cream and have an amazing munch on the end of an amazing munch! Life is good with places like these! We are grateful to have found such an affordable, graceful, pleasure bringing institution and plan a return as soon as we can. meoooow!

CafΓ© Ginger Paris

Just found a new vegan, beautiful and super cute place in Paris πŸ™‚
Lately this this place, CafΓ© Ginger, changed from vegetarian to vegan! They have super delicious and healthy food! It’s only open for lunch time and you can choose between different lunch menu combinations like the Tarte CafΓ© Ginger which is served with many many healthy sides like quinoa, humus, lentils, salads, beetroot noodles and vegetables, together with a soup, a juice or a dessert… Or of course all together!
